Vocademy respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information that you share with us. Generally, you can browse through our website without giving us any information about yourself (except for cookies and pixel tags, as provided in this privacy policy). When we do need your personal information to provide services that you request or when you choose to use our application, an AI tool built to help you learn English vocabulary through short videos (the “App” or the “Services”), or provide us with your personal information — for example when you contact us for additional information — this policy describes how we collect and use your personal information.

→ Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

The entity responsible for the processing of your personal data is BITU PTE. LTD., referred to as “Vocademy”, “our”, “we” or “us” in this privacy policy.

→ How we collect and use information and the legal basis for processing

We collect two types of data:

1. Non-Personal Data

This includes aggregated information that does not identify you directly, such as:

  • Date/time of interaction
  • Device data and behavior patterns
  • Clicks, video views, time spent on lessons
  • Engagement with emails, etc.

We use Non-Personal Data for statistical analysis, product development, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

2. Personal Information

This includes data like:

  • Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and gender
  • Your learning behavior, vocabulary performance, voice recordings (if voice input is used), and saved progress

We use this data to:

  • Provide and improve Services
  • Maintain your learning records
  • Send responses to your support or inquiry requests
  • Enhance App features through algorithmic training (e.g. using your conversation/learning data to improve AI responses)

Legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interest, or your explicit consent (where required).

→ Customer Support and Inquiries

When you contact us via email or in-app support, we may store your contact data to resolve the issue. This processing is necessary to fulfill your request or inquiry.

→ App Maintenance and Improvement

We use web server logs, cookies, pixel tags, voice and input data (e.g. what words you’re learning, how you interact) to administer, improve and personalize the App and Services. These data help refine our algorithms and user experience.

→ Marketing and Promotional Purposes

If you opt in to receive updates or newsletters, we may use your email address to send news about Vocademy. You will always have the choice to unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the email or contacting us directly.

→ Subscription Details

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple/Google account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Renewal will be charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Subscriptions can be managed via your App Store / Google Play account settings.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited once a subscription is purchased.
